Drive Ed’s approach to the issues surrounding fleet drivers is unique in that it targets more than the observed behaviour of the driver. Traditional fleet driver training assesses the most at-risk drivers by focusing on those who have already been involved in a road traffic incident. In isolation, this approach is not going to be very effective. Individual at-work drivers are susceptible to a whole host of pressures, all of which impact on the way they handle the vehicle on a day-to-day basis.
Drive Ed’s distinctive driver training helps the individual to recognise the stress they may be under when they are driving and identifies techniques and coping mechanisms to manage time and reduce the pressure so that their driving behaviour is always safe and professional.
Drive Ed will also work with the organisation to look at ways of introducing a culture where employees take responsibility for their work-related driving time and don’t disengage from this in the belief that it is the employer who is accountable.
