Believe that you can make a difference!

Harry has just passed his driving test and bought himself an old banger so that he can drive his mates to the club at night.

He had a few driving lessons but picked up control skills so quickly that his instructor let him go for his test as soon as he got a date. He passed easily with just a couple of driver errors and believed he was a great driver ... until he lost control of the car on a bend one night, hit a tree and killed his three mates.

Harry didn't know that inexperience, age, gender, personality, beliefs, values and peer pressure are all human factors that might increase the risk of being involved in a crash.

His instructor had never discussed any of this with him.

Train to be a driving instructor with DriveEd and stop people like Harry from killing their mates.

When you train with DriveEd you will gain skills that you can pass on to your pupils that will impact positively on the horrendous crash rate amongst newly qualified drivers.

Only with DriveEd will you develop coaching skills that will really make a difference to the lives of the people you teach to drive.

Have you got what it takes?

How do you know if training to be a driving instructor is for you?
Enjoying driving is certainly important but it is not the be all and end all of driving instruction.

The most essential qualities a good driving instructor must possess are:

* the ability to communicate
* and the desire to empower people to take responsibility for their own learning.

Considering what the job actually entails is critical to making the decision that this is for you.

As far as a job goes being a driving instructor gives you the best of all worlds because it offers you so much flexibility and you are in control of when you work and how long you work for. It fits extremely well around your social and family lives. It is hugely rewarding in terms of giving people skills that will get them through their driving tests and keep them safe for life.

There are not many women driving instructors in the industry and yet we believe that teaching people to drive is a rewarding and satisfying career that would suit many women down to the ground.
